My life in the south

The book My Life In The South is by Jacob Stroyer. It was published 1885. It's about a slave (Jacob Stroyer) who was born in 1849 on the Singleton plantation which is in South Carolina. During the Civil war he waited on the confederates. There he learned to read and write. After the Civil war he was free so he became a minister. Then he wrote a book about his life.
