Slaves in the War-Deborah-Oliver A.

After the battle of Antiham was the first time Lincoln thought to end slavery. It was called the Emancipation Proclamation. Most of the Confederate/south workforce was  slaves, so if the North took them away they would not be as strong. It was signed January !st 1863 by Abraham Lincoln. Nothing happened right away because the south ignored them. The Emancipation Proclamation changed the slaves life's at the end of the war.
