Roles of Women in the Civil war, Julia Canfield and October Durkee Miller Karens Office

 This is Harriet Tubman. At first, she helped the Union by being a nurse in Port Royal. But then she started actually fighting in the war, and was the first woman to lead an armed assault in the Civil War. Also, after escaping slavery herself, she helped in the Underground Railroad, making 13 trips to the South helping to free about 70 people.
