This battle took place in July 1-3 1863. It was around The town of Gettysburg. One June 24th 1863 General Robert. E. Lee led his confederate army across the potomac river. Thousands fought and died. It was a union victory. The commanders of the union are George G. meade, and of the confederate was Robert E. Lee. There were 93,921 men on the union side, and 71,699 on the confederate side.
