This is a painting of Brig. Gen. Beauregard he was the man who led the attack on fort Sumter for the south. His teacher Maj Robert Anderson was the one guarding the fort for the north. This was one example of the fact that lots of people had to fight against people they new some times even families have to fight each other on the battle field.

This is a map of fort Sumter all the water is the Charleston Harbor and it is located in south Carolina. The brown patch of land on the top is Charleston. On the sides the map shows the forces of the and the south.

This is a painting of fort Sumter before it was fired upon on April 12 to 13 from 4:30 to 2:30. This fort was located close to Charleston south Carolina in the south but before the war began it belonged to the union.

This is Captain George S James he was a captain that ordered the attack on fort Sumter.
