The Underground Railroad artist statement by: Zoe Lawrence

The underground railroad was a vast network of people who helped fuigtive slaves escape from the south to the north and the north was canada. This act cause the south to lose  100,000 slaves between 1810-1850. Making this operation work were free blacks, whites and native americans acting as conducters  helping other slaves to their freedom. This hepls us understand who we are today because it shows that we can find freedom if we work together amd come up with new solutiona to help eachother
