This is a picture of a captured fugitive slave. He is on his knee with chains on his ankles and wrists, below him is a banner saying "Am i not a man and a brother". This is a picture to show that innocent men and women were being captured and treated badly because of the color of their skin. This picture is to remind people and show people that he is a man just like evreyone else.
