The Gatling gun was one of the most popular weapons in the civil war. Although it had many defaults, it fired 600 bullets per minute. Both the Confederacy and Union used 12 different types of cannons. The cannons were named after there inventors, such as: Rodman, Parrott and Nepoleon.
