Henry Clay was the who represented Kentucky in the Senate and the House of representitives.He was the one who helped make the Missouri compromise and he proposed the compromise of 1850 so back then people called him the great compromiser. He was 70 years old when he made the compromise and died soon after in 1852 at the age of 75.
