My quilt statement is about Jefferson Davis, president of the south, in the pre Civil War era. The bottom of the square is a confederate flag. Then, in the upper right hand corner there is a little map of the southern union. On the upper left hand side, there is a log cabin, because this president was also born in a log cabin. Below the log cabin, there is the word 'president'. On the upper middle side, there is a compass. This is pre-civil war.
