Fugitive Slave Act Isabella Peterson and Lara Tucker Karens class
this is a picture of a colored women plunging into a river saving her from slave catchers and kidnappers that are trying to catch her. this picture was made in the 1850s giving a example of the fugitive slave act and what would happen.
Great post I think it really shows you the desperation of a slave trying to reach free land.
