Roles of Women in the Civil war, Julia Canfield and October Durkee Miller Karens Office

 This is a picture of a woman nursing soldiers. The role of many women in the civil war was being nurses, and it was a very important job because if they hadn't been nurses then many more people would have died. Some famous women nurses in the civil war were: Mary Todd Lincoln, Clara Barton, Sally Louisa Tompkins and Mary Jane Stafford.
